Eligibility Requirements:

Open to any age*
must have medi-cal full scope or managed care
desire or need to establish primary care or mental health support

*MEDICAL SERVICES: ALL AGES
MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES: UP to 25 YEARS OF AGE

Services We Offer:

Primary Care: Routine well-child and well-adult care, sick visits, and vaccinations.

Gender-Affirming Care: Hormone therapy, pubertal suppression, gender-affirming surgery.

Reproductive Health: Pregnancy testing, counseling, birth control methods, emergency contraception.

Mental Health Services: Individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, assessments for gender-affirming surgery.

Care Management: Education, employment, housing, legal support, mentoring, transportation assistance, and help with legal name and gender marker changes.

We understand that the journey to affirming care can be challenging. The Alexis Project is here to provide free and accessible services to those who qualify. No longer postpone care due to cost—we assist with Medi-Cal enrollment if you qualify. Studies show that affirming care significantly improves mental health and overall well-being for LGBTQ+ individuals.

We offer free services for Medi-Cal clients. To make a medical appointment, call us, or for mental health and care management support, fill out the intake form via VIP Community.
Call 323-409-3233 or email AlexisProject@dhs.lacounty.gov to request an initial visit.
Refer clients by calling the number for medical services, or reach out if you have questions. Fill out the intake form if they meet the criteria for services.
